Prayer Focus on football

With the World Cup in Africa this year the Retrak kids are more passionate about football than ever! Pray with us as we continue to use the ‘beautiful game’ at Retrak...

· Give thanks for the way in which so many desperate children can be reached out to through football

· Pray that many more children will be drawn to Retrak through the football sessions

· Pray that the football sessions will be a time of fun and a chance to be a kid (often a rare treat for a child living on the streets)

· Pray for the Retrak team who run the football sessions- that they will find the best way to encourage and challenge each individual child, to build up their self esteem and show them love

· Pray that relationships between the children and the staff will be developed and strengthened as they spend time together playing football. Pray that as the trust develops that children will be able to build good friendships with each other and that they will have confidence in the Retrak staff to help them to move on.

· Pray that football matches will enable Retrak and the local communities to continue to build strong links and partnerships
