Oduke Solomon ran away from the armed struggle in the north of Uganda hoping to find relatives in the capital but ended up on the streets where he came into contact with Tigers Club, RETRAK’s project in Uganda.
His experiences and fear meant that for his first four months at Tigers Club he was either in a rage, deeply sullen or screaming to the extent that lessons and counselling at the Clubhouse were seriously affected!
A year later, Oduke has been found a foster family – his new dad is assistant Pastor at one of the bigger Kampala churches! He has settled extremely well and the family continue to be supported by the Foster Care workers from The Tigers Club.
