Joshua is the fifth of nine n his family. He is now 14 years old. He has never known his dad and his mum has been unable to find work. 

At the age of 8, Joshua left home and has lived on the streets ever since. "The hard conditions at home drove me to the street" is what he told The Caleb Project team. He is a talented footballer. At the moment, Joshua lives in one of the street child "barracks" (heaps of rubbish the street kids claim as their own) they have called California.
