RETRAK is a professional, Christian social work organisation. RETRAK aims to enable street children in Africa to realise their potential and discover their worth. RETRAK is getting street children back on course!
The organisation is committed to helping street children to find long-term, sustainable alternatives to life on the streets. RETRAK is committed to reuniting children with their families wherever possible. If this is not possible RETRAK seeks to find foster families for ex-street children where they will find the love, security and support they have lacked.
RETRAK also aims to encourage children back into main-stream education or, for older children, into vocational training leading to worth-while employment.
RETRAK was formerly known as The Tigers Club with one project in Uganda, but as the organisation began to expand to other African countries it was decided to change the name to better reflect the aims of the organisation. Our flagship project in Uganda, retains the name The Tigers Club Project .
