Executive Summary.
November has been a blessed month. Barclays Bank came to the Clubhouse for a community day on 3rd November and donated a lot of gifts: including a celebration meal for the under-15 year olds and the resettlement of three boys from Tudabujja. In addition, Holy Trinity Church, UK, donated £5500 to specifically facilitate a general vehicle. The Commonwealth Head of Government meeting ended very well and no casualty was reported at all in the city, including amongst our boys.

Highlights, encouragements, blessings
• We had the biggest number of children in the refuge due to CHOGM in Kampala this month. The refuge obtained new blankets and mats for the boys to use as beddings as well as being able to provide daily heavy lunch. No boys were hurt during this time either by mob justice or the security personnel.
• The boys from Tudabujja went for a voluntary HIV/AIDS test and counselling at Mildmay on the 20thNovember. The Nurse has increased on her community health education awareness, aimed at reducing the risk of infections. Preventative medicine was given to those threatened with meningitis.
• KWM from Mackay Memorial Primary School and S from Nile High School, both STARTS from the Hostel, were recognised by their schools for being exemplary in their extra curricular activities and students leadership.
• Three of the fostered children completed their Primary Seven and one completed his O-Level. Plans are underway for the children in the foster programme to visit their families.
• Students from Ambrosoli School visited the Tudabujja farm for a study tour this month.
Challenges, difficulties, concerns
• Very many children came to the clinic and many of them needed referrals. Ebola and cholera are threatening the city though no child has been affected by either disease.
• The Clubhouse has started receiving complaints from our neighbours about cases of trespassing in the search for scrapmetal.
• It is still a very big challenge to find genuine families to foster the children.
• Five piglets died.
Prayer requests
• Pray for the stores to be able to adapt to the new pressures and be able to carry on.
• Pray for the street children to be protected from ebola
• Pray for the boys who recently moved from Tudabujja to the Hostel so that they can catch up quickly in their studies.
• Pray for increased security outside Clubhouse.
• Pray for STARTS who sat for final examinations to pass highly.
• Pray for the three resettled boys to settle very well.
• Pray for the foster families to be able to help our children to go through the adolescent stage.
• Pray for MJ, one of the boys resettled in 2005, who has settled with his grand parent well. But poverty still continues to threaten their livelihood. All the Income Generating Activities have failed to take off.
• A lady who supported RK to receive treatment is willing to connect us to a possible donor to support him with a wheelchair and medicine. Pray that this becomes a success.
