150 million children live on the streets of this world today. Few have a place to call home or people to call family. They are often despised and abused. For most, all hope, self-worth and dignity has been squeezed out of them. They believe the prevailing world view- that they are worthless, good-for-nothing but to be thrown on the world’s scrap heap - or to be eliminated like vermin.

At the heart of RETRAK is passion. Passion to see street children’s lives dramatically changed. Passion to see those who the World rejects become valued members of society. Passion to see children growing up in secure, loving, caring families and, in turn, to offer love and care to others. Passion to see children develop to their full potential emotionaly, psychologicaly and spiritualy.

Why? Because we believe that every individual is of equal and immeasurable worth - created equal by God. We believe it is an abomination that millions of children in the 21st Century are treated worse than animals.
