daudi

Daudi was fostered by Mary in 2001, after a failed resettlement that had been conducted by Tigers Club project.  After the death of his father, Daudi and his siblings were abandoned by their own mother at their home with a mentally sick uncle as their care father.

As life became unbearable for Daudi – because he had become the ‘carer’ of his two younger siblings – he ran to the city and got in touch with his beggar grandfather who lived in an old abandoned vehicle as his home. This became Daudi’s home too. When Tigers children saw Daudi in this place, they informed the warden at Tigers who encouraged him to come back.

He lived at the Clubhouse for about a year as he went to school; and was later fostered by Mary. Unfortunately, the placement broke down because Daudi could not get on well with his siblings, who always ridiculed him about his past life. This was traumatic for him.  The carer could not do much, since her children were big and were almost uncontrollable by her.

Daudi came back to Tigers Club. He lives at the Halfway House. The possibility of another foster family is still being explored. Daudi is quite brilliant academically. A family that promotes academics for him would be quite ideal. Prayers for him please!
