How your CHURCH can support Retrak

Millions of children live on the streets and are among the most vulnerable people in the world. Poverty, limited resources, disasters and HIV are all factors contributing to the challenge facing families and driving children to the streets.

We know that isn’t the way God intended things should be. Scripture regularly reminds us that our God is a father to the fatherless; that he cares for those who are marginalised and suffer injustice; and he sets the lonely in families.

You and your church could be part of the solution. In Matthew 5, Jesus tells the crowd: “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness.” Blessed are those who recognise that things aren’t the way God intended them to be and so daily hunger and thirst – long and yearn – and take action to be part of the solution; to see things transformed to the way God intended them to be.

Will you and your church join with Retrak in being part of the solution?

Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen … To share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter?

(Isaiah 58:6 & 7)

Please join with us by praying:

Jesus tells his disciples that they can ask anything in his name and it will be given them. He also said: “…if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” With its size and complexity, the issue of children living on the streets certainly is a mountain. Please help us to move that mountain by praying with us.
